Whats the Difference?
Cedar decks are lighter in color, more rot-resistant than pressure treated wood, and have a 15-20 year lifespan. Mahogany stains extremely well, has some flexibility to it and will have a 20+ year lifespan when used in decks. Ipe is a Brazilian species recognized for its hardness and density and has a rich natural brown color, with an Ipe deck you can expect a lifespan of 40+ years.
