This is a hands-on shop position requiring frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and use of hands. The work environment includes woodworking machinery, power tools, dust, noise, forklifts, and other normal shop hazards. Required personal protective equipment will be provided. Job description:
We are looking for an Experienced Field Service Technician to join our team servicing premium windows and doors. This position is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and replacing window and door components while providing quality service to our customers. The technician will primarily service customers throughout Fairfield and Litchfield County, with occasional out-of-state travel.
Essential Functions:
Troubleshoot and diagnose window and door service issues.
Repair and replace hardware, sash, glass, screens, and weatherstrip.
Diagnose service issues and determine the appropriate repair or replacement.
Order parts and materials needed to complete service calls.
Complete service calls from diagnosis through final resolution.
Communicate effectively with customers, builders, contractors, and project managers.
Maintain accurate records of service work performed.
Coordinate service needs and parts with project managers and other team members.
Maintain company vehicle, tools, equipment, and supplies.
Operate a company vehicle safely and responsibly.
Maintain high quality standards and attention to detail.
Manage daily service calls and schedule efficiently.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Proven experience with windows, doors, finish carpentry, or a related trade.
High-quality workmanship with attention to detail.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to communicate effectively with customers, team members, builders, and contractors.
Ability to read and understand work orders and product information.
Ability to safely use a variety of hand and power tools.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Marvin window and door experience.

Hand and power tool experience is a must.
Experience working independently and in a team environment.
Ability to diagnose and repair window and door components.
